The Expendables Movie – A preview…

The Expendables Movie, due out later this year, will feature Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Steve Austin, Terry Crews, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Eric Roberts and Randy Couture all in a single film?

Who cares what the storyline is, with an action cast like that?  Movie goers are sure to flock to the cinemas just to see all their action heroes together in one movie.  Even if some of their parts are only small, you still get to see Arnie & Sly!

So there is a group of mercenaries and they take on a mission to overthrow the dictator of a South American country… but not everything goes to plan.  What more do you need to know?

The Expendables is directed by  Sylvester Stallone and written by David Callaham and Stallone. The movie is scheduled for release on August 18. Here is the cast (if anything you have to be impressed by their names…)

Barney Ross “The Schizo”, played by Sylvester Stallone, a former paramilitary fighter and leader of the team

Lee Christmas, played by Jason Statham, commander of the brigade and former SAS expert in close combat

Bao Thao, played by Jet Li, martial arts expert

Gunnar Jensen, played by Dolph Lundgren, a Swedish sniper

Hale Ceaser, played by Terry Crews, a weapons expert

Toll Road, played by Randy Couture, demolitions expert

Tool, played by Mickey Rourke, former member of the team, an arms dealer and owner of a tattoo parlor

Mr. Church, played by Bruce Willis, the man who recruits the Expendables.

Trench, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, a former rival of Barney Ross.

General Garza, played by David Zayas, a ruthless South American dictator

Amanjit Bains, played by Eric Roberts, a corrupt CIA agent

Dan Paine, played by ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, bodyguard

The Brit, played by Gary Daniels, in the service of General Garza
