Spanish F1 driver, Jaime Alguersuari, who drives for the Toro Rosso racing team, has become an ambassador for PartyPoker, an online poker room.  I guess when you think about it racing drivers are taking a gamble each time they drive, so they must be pretty used to the risk versus reward scenario. Even though driving an F1 car flat out, pulling huge G’s around a corner, must be a bit different to going all-in during a poker tourney..

Alguersuari became the youngest driver to drive for Formula 1 when he drove in the Hungarian Grand Prix last year.  The young Spanish F1 driver from Barcelona is improving fast and has already earned his first F1 points by finishing ninth in Malaysia.

Jaime says that poker has become very popular amongst the F1 drivers.  By signing for PartyPoker he will help promote online poker and poker tournaments.  The next big tournament is in his home town, just in time as F1 hits the European part of the world tour, it is the WPT Barcelona, from 17 - 23 May at Casino Barcelona.
