With some of the changes in Formula 1 this year, no refueling, change of the front tyre sizes and weight of the car.  Teams have changed, as the big car manufacturers, Toyota and BMW have exited, being replaced with pure racing teams and rich entrepreneurs financing… USF1 Team pulled out and didn’t make it this year.

Will Virgin Racing make an impact on their reduced budget?  Hydraulic and gearbox problems saw them retire early, a disappointing start. Lotus will be happy with both their cars finishing, although they would like to finish in the points.

Will Michael Schumacher make a successful comeback? Ferrari are going all out to improve on last year, with their F10 car and the experience of Alonso and Massa.  Red Bull are always a team to look out for if they can overcome their technical glitches.  The McLaren Mercedes MP4-25 has fantastic aerodynamics, the reining world champion Jenson Button and former champion Lewis Hamilton behind the wheel.

Ferrari has made the best start possible to the 2010 Formula 1 season but there is still a long way to go! Onwards to Melbourne, Australia, lets see what happens!!

I was watching it yesterday; it can hardly get more boring than that. F1 is no longer what it used to be and it makes me sad.

Agreed, without much overtaking, F1 relies on driver error, mechanical failure or tyre strategy. I think the top teams that have the least mechanical problems will do well this year. Look at how the quicker drivers couldn’t overtake on Sunday, boring indeed. But still nice to hear those F1 engines again!!
