Gears of War 3 is being developed by Epic Games and will be released in April 2011, completing the Xbox “Gears of War” trilogy. Cliff Bleszinski made the announcement on Jimmy Fallon’s US Late Night talk show. Titled ‘Ashes to Ashes’, it features a new mutation of the locust, called Lambent. This successful Xbox game will now feature more fire power in double barrelled shotguns.

Sony has revealed its answer to Nintendo Wii at the Game Developers Conference, San Francisco. The Sony Move controller looks similar to the Nintendo Wii controller, it just has a colored ball at the top.
Gamers at the Conference didn’t seem that excited by the Sony Move, it doesn’t seem any better than Nintendo Wii. It seems like Sony are just trying to play catchup, as PlayStation 3 sales lag Nintendo Wii. There doesn’t seem to have been a real leap in motion gaming technology by Sony. Perhaps we will have to wait for Microsoft Xbox to do this.

The reviews for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game in both XBox & PS3 have not been that complimentary. Not that the game is bad, its just that there is nothing that extraordinary about the game. You would think after all the hype about the movie, that developers would have jumped on the bandwagon. Perhaps they have sacrificed creativity for speed to market. My rating for the game is an average 6/10.
