A New Zealand mechanic has perfected a homemade flying hovercraft. Once the hovercraft gets up to 70km/h it takes off. One handy feature is that the wings are removable, which makes transportation a lot easier.
Made from a modified car engine, fiberglass and even some household items, his invention took him 10 years to perfect.
The machine is officially called a “wing in ground effective vehicle” or WIG for short. The flying hovercraft is classified as a “marine craft” and therefore no flying license is required.
Get hold of Rudy Heeman in New Zealand if you want to get your hands on one of these flying hovercrafts, as he wants to now start marketing them.
