Hobo with a Shotgun is a hardcore splatter film directed by Jason Eisener. Rutger Hauer plays a homeless man who arrives in a small town  with dreams of a fresh start. He instead finds himself trapped in the middle of an urban hellhole. “Hope Town” as it was called was ruled by “The Drake” along with his sadistic sons, Slick and Ivan. Seeing the that the place is filled with crooked cops, gun-totting robbers, and the citizens being treated like animals, the Hobo decided to bring justice with the only way he knows – legendary ass kicking using a 20-gauge shotgun.

Its Twilight time!!!! SayWhatNews goes one on one with Sarah Clarke. The actress opened up about her thoughts on Bella and Renee’s relationship and more:
SayWhatNews: Sarah, you know I have to ask about “Twilight”. You play Renee Dwyer, Bella Swan’s mother. Had you read the books before you got the role? And how did you learn about the role of Bella’s mom?
Sarah: I read Twilight because Catherine Hardwicke asked me to. I loved the first book but have to admit that I was under-whelmed about the character of Renee. It was Catherine who convinced me that there was more to her. She grew on me as the movies went on, but I still find her lack of presence in Bella’s life very annoying.
SayWhatNews: Speaking of Renee’s lack of presence in Bella’s life…… Bella’s mom really has no major part in her life when she moves to Forks except for emails and a few phone calls. As a mother, what are your thoughts on Bella and Renee’s distant and some what hands off mother/daughter relationship?
Sarah: Yeah it’s weird…being a mother of two girls myself I found it very frustrating…I finally had to make peace with it and decided that Renee was a different mother than myself. I also have to remember that Bella was 17..and not 3..so by then there is a lot more independence.
SayWhatNews: In ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’, we finally get a look at the bond Bella and her mother have when the two share a very special moment on the patio when Renee gives Bella a gift during her visit. Do you feel this was a key moment for the two characters?
Sarah: Absolutely…I think the key to understanding their bond is that there is a mutual respect of personal and emotional space. Renee really does see Bella as an adult and an equal to her…that’s why she doesn’t crowd her. Read entire interview here

The Expendables Movie – A preview…

The Expendables Movie, due out later this year, will feature Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Steve Austin, Terry Crews, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Eric Roberts and Randy Couture all in a single film?

Who cares what the storyline is, with an action cast like that?  Movie goers are sure to flock to the cinemas just to see all their action heroes together in one movie.  Even if some of their parts are only small, you still get to see Arnie & Sly!

So there is a group of mercenaries and they take on a mission to overthrow the dictator of a South American country… but not everything goes to plan.  What more do you need to know?

The Expendables is directed by  Sylvester Stallone and written by David Callaham and Stallone. The movie is scheduled for release on August 18. Here is the cast (if anything you have to be impressed by their names…)

Miranda, Samantha, Charlotte and Carrie head out to the desert – Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, shopping and doing what they do best in this tourist destination in the sun.  The Sex in the City 2 ladies face the usual relationship issues as in the first movie and TV series.

The House M.D. television series has enjoyed great success and now has a huge following around the world.  A lot of the success of House is thanks to Hugh Laurie’s performance as the cantankerous Dr Gregory House.  Some House bloopers to entertain you…

The complex Dr House character is an enigma, although he seems to almost despise the people around him, use unconventional and unorthodox methods to diagnose and treat patients, at the same time he is a doctor and cares for the well being of people.  Or is it the mystery of finding out the disease that drives him? A comparison to Sherlock Holmes is used often in the script of House.

Hugh Laurie plays Dr Gregory House

The fascination with the House character is what attracts so many viewers and fans.  You can even join the House fan page on Facebook… His lack of social etiquette and mostly disheveled look is the antithesis of the stereotypical doctor.  Hugh Laurie is brilliantly cast as Dr House, he has mastered the American accent well and managed to hide his British background.

Here’s a sneak preview of Avatar 2. Following on from the hugely successful, record breaking blockbuster movie, that we all enjoyed in 3D this summer. Avatar 2 promises even more action and special effects than its predecessor! It is only matter of time before Avatar 2 is released, watch the world of Pandora…

Do you like Harry Potter, Darth Vader, The Matrix or the Lord of the Rings? You will certainly enjoy watching this trailer, I hope it amuses you and keeps you entertained…

Sorry if you thought that this was a more serious version of Avatar 2 trailer… you have to admit that it is well done though!

I thought this would be a good cure for all the Avatar suicidal fans and their Avatar suicidal thoughts… that more glimpses of Pandora would alleviate their Avatar suicidal tendencies… humour the only cure for the Avatar suicidal depressed!

Don’t worry I am sure that you wont have to wait to long before the next release of Avatar and you can immerse yourself in the beautiful perfection of the world of Pandora.

I don’t think there could be a better person to play the Mad Hatter in the new “Alice in Wonderland” movie directed by Tim Burton.  Depp makes the perfect Mad Hatter,  he looks absolutely crazy and like he is enjoying every minute of it!  What is it with Depp, that he loves playing these totally wacko characters?  Is he maybe half wacko himself?

Tim Burton and Depp have created their fair share of crazy wackos in the past years, so they should have no trouble dreaming up more crazy scenes. Edward Scissorshands, Willy Wonka and now the Mad Hatter! Its going to be a visual paradise as we are taken on an adventure down the rabbit hole and into a 3D world, with Alice and the Mad Hatter.

A relatively unknown Australian actress, Mia Wasikowska, will play the new-look Alice.  I’m sure she has something special to be part of this illustrious cast.

Filming Alice in Wonderland with all its special affects, which include 3D enhancing backgrounds and using digital enhancing techniques to create the strange world and its characters, must be a real challenge.  Wasikowska admits that you have to have a vivid imagination to imagine the scene, that will ultimately be filled with digital characters.

The film will certainly be entertaining – it will have to compete and stand out against previous versions of Alice and Wonderland. Also, there have been some excellent 3D animations created recently, so lets see what Burton and his team can come up with.

One of the most deeply moving movies out to close 2009 is probably The Blind Side, based on the 2006 Michael Lewis book of the same name. For those who like football and those who like feel good stories of people pulling themselves out of difficult circumstances in order to succeed, The Blind Side is a must-see.
The Story of the Blind Side
The Blind Side follows the story of Michael Oher (played in the movie by Quinton Aaron), who currently plays as an offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens. Oher came from a broken home, born to a single mother who was addicted to crack. He attended eleven schools during his first nine years of education and was often either a foster child or homeless. Oher’s father was murdered while he was in high school.

Things started to turn around for Michael when a friend, Tony Henderson, encouraged him to apply to get into a private school, the Briarcrest Christian School. The school accepted Oher provisionally if he could complete a home study program, but was admitted even though he did not complete that program.

The real turning point in Oher’s life was when he was taken in (and later adopted) by Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, played by Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw. The couple supported Oher through school and helped him raise his grade point average to the point where he could be accepted by Division I colleges. Oher was a standout football player in high school and received scholarship offers from many schools, but eventually settled on the University of Mississippi, which happened to be the Tuohys’ alma mater.

Oher was an All-American at Ole Miss and was scouted as a high prospect. He planned to come out for the 2008 NFL draft, but stayed to play his final season at Ole Miss instead. In 2009, he was drafted in the first round by the Baltimore Ravens.

Critical Reception for The Blind Side
The Blind Side opened to strong reviews. Oher’s compelling story makes the film appealing to a wide range of moviegoers. Its opening weekend gross was the highest of Sandra Bullock’s career.

Avatar fans are seeking the perfect planet, Pandora and getting depressed because it compares to nothing on earth.  Avatar forums are clogged with depressed fantasy seekers, searching for somewhere to go that will resemble Na’vi land.

My suggestion is a Virtual Reality machine that takes you to the 3D lush landscape of the utopia, Pandora.  Do you remember Virtual Reality machines?  You put on a headset and entered a 3D land that you could move through and interact with objects.  Virtual Reality games, never really took off though.

We could plug people into flight simulation machines, like the ones where you fly an F-14 Tomcat, except program them for “Life on Pandora”.  Put them into a “Pandora Simulator” for a few hours at a time to relieve their depression and suicidal tendencies.  Let Avatar fans experience the 3D Virtual reality life on Pandora, through the real life movement of a simulator.

Or maybe just buy them a plane ticket to the Amazon, Papua New Guinea or the Congo… I’m sure that rare minerals are being mined, at the expense of the local tribes, in all of these places. Travel agents and psychiatrists could book Avatar fans on trips to these places, organise tours to mingle with the locals – heh I’m sure they could even fall in love and help save them too.
