Part of the fun of consoles like the Xbox 360 is the ability to play with (or against) people from all over the world using the Internet. The Xbox360 features “Xbox Live” as their Internet platform. Members can join Xbox Live and play in a shared game world or post high scores for others all over the world to try to beat. Face it, when you and your friends are sitting around the game console, it’s usually a competition. It may be a friendly competition, but it’s a competition nonetheless. You want to be the one to post the highest score. This is usually more the case when you and your buddies are in the same room than when you’re playing online and your friends are not, or vice versa.
About 360 Live
But if you’re really competitive, you might need to know how you’re stacking up against your gaming buddies at all times, even when you’re not in the game. Now, thanks to the new “360 Live” app for iPhone, you can.
With 360 Live, only $1.99 at the App store, developed by Xavier Larrea, you can sign in using your Xbox Live sign in data and find out up-to-the-minute stat info on fellow players’ achievements, gamerscore, and messages, as well as the latest games they’ve played and avatars they’ve used.
360 Live Features
The app instantly uses your Xbox live information to generate a Friends List so that it’s easy to see how your favorite gaming pals are doing and what they’re doing at any time, no matter where you are. You can also use the app for Gamertag management, so that you can tell Xbox whether or not to accept any pending requests. You can use the app to update your own information without having to be at your Xbox as well.
Cost of 360 Live
While two bucks isn’t much to pay for an app, Xbox users may balk at paying anything, since iPhone apps for Microsoft have historically been free. If you want, you can wait around for them to drop the $2 fee, or you can part with the $2 and stay on top of all the latest Xbox 360 developments right now.
